High School Students: Study Abroad with the U.S. Department of Education

The U.S. Department of State recently announced scholarships for American high school students to study abroad . Applications are now being accepted for the following study abroad programs for U.S. high school students. These merit-based scholarships include international airfare, tuition, and program costs, as well as meals and living accommodations (often with a host family). California Assessment Incentive Form

Students are eligible for a 1/3 of a letter grade bump for the respective year long course if they: 1. Received Standard Met or Standard Exceeded on a SBAC Assessment and 2. Scored Proficient or Advanced on a Science CST. You can pick up the California Assessment Inventive Form in the Counseling Department or at the front desk and return it to Ms. Stacy Maiden by Friday, October 9, 2015. Turning in this form could be the difference between a B+ and an A- and could also help raise your overall GPA...Who wouldn't want that?

Attention IB Students!
