GPA Student Representing CA in Second Round of International German Olympics
Ellery Quinn will represent California in the second round of the International German Olympics 2016 this December. Ellery is one of only 14 students to advance from the first round where 260 US participants competed in the "Be the One International German Olympics" sponsored by the Goethe Institute.
The 14 American winners will convene in Chicago for the second round of the competition on December 4th and 5th. An all expenses-paid weekend in Chicago, is only one of the highlights in the second round of the competition. Not only will Ellery compete in reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking, writing and a group presentation, she will also enjoy the Christkindlmarkt in Chicago and dinner on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building.
Of the 14 Americans, only 2 will be chosen to represent the USA to compete against more than 50 other countries in the final round of the competition in Berlin this summer. We are extremely proud of Ellery's accomplishments and wish her viel Glück in the coming competition.
Reminder: No school for Thanksgiving break from Monday, November 23, 2015 - Friday, November 27, 2015. School resumes Monday, November 30, 2015.
