Guajome Park Academy (GPA) is a public, college preparatory charter school of choice with approximately 1,500 students in grades 6-12.

Since its inception in 1994, the school has endeavored to establish and maintain a student body that is diverse in nature, and generally reflective of the state of California and the sponsoring Vista Unified School District (VUSD) in terms of race, ethnicity and socio-economic status.  GPA opened its brand-new, state of the art campus in 2004, and is located in proximity to both Mira Costa and Palomar Community College, as well as California State University San Marcos.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, the mission of Guajome Park Academy is to educate all members to strive to achieve the qualities of the IB Learner Profile:  inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, pricipled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective.

GPA is a school designed to meet the needs of a variety of learners, with curriculum that includes the IB Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) for grades 6-10, and optional IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) for grades 11-12, and several honors and Advanced Placement courses.  Additional value is added through project-based learning; the Arts program; advanced technology; college preparation counseling; career counseling and preparation; student participation in the concurrent enrollment program with the local community colleges; co-curricular activities; small class sizes; community service hours; strong connections among teachers, students, and parents; and a commitment to rigor, relevance, and relationship.  For enrollment information, please call 760-631-8500.
