WASC Self-Study Report
This year Guajome will be hosting a WASC Visiting Committee as part of the school accredidation process. Guajome went through the WASC self-study process in 1996 and again in 1999 and 2005, with mid-term reviews in 2002 and 2008. The WASC Focus on Learning process has provided another opportunity for Guajome to examine and reflect on our school's progress and what needs to be improved in relation to student learning and the school's academic programs. As part of the review process, Guajome has produced a Self-Study Report for presentation to WASC. Our WASC visit is coming up soon (mid-April) and we will provide an update on the Visiting Committee's recommendations as soon as we can. Check back in April!

The Academic Performance Index (API) is a measurement of academic performance and progress of individual schools in California. A numeric API score ranges from a low of 200 to a high of 1000. The interim statewide API performance target for all schools is 800. A school's growth is measured by how well it is moving toward or past that goal. A school's score or placement on the API is designed to be an indicator of a school's performance level.

For information on the requirements and more, please visit the California Department of Education website provided in the Links section of this page.
