Strategic Planning Project

The primary vehicle to address fiscal and other strategic issues that our organization faces has been through our strategic planning process. In October 2009, a team of parents, staff, students, administration and members of our Board came together for an intensive time of organizational self-reflection and evaluation. We looked at what is working and where we face challenges. During this time, the strategic planning team came up with products that define items of value, beliefs, and operation parameters. In November 2009, a list of Critical Issues was identified through this process and a five year Focus Plan for intervention and resolution was developed.

Our Focus Plan was adopted by the GPA Board and a Parent Information Night was held on January 27, 2010. We reviewed the process with our parents and discussed the direction the organization will be taking over the next few years. Another Parent Information Night was held in April to discuss updates and progress on our plans and to address questions from stakeholders.
