04/17/2010 Oceanside Days of Art The 18th Annual Oceanside Days of Art is looking for volunteers on April 17th and 18th, 10am - 5pm. (4 Hr. shifts available 6am through 8pm both days for various venues.) The event needs volunteers to set up and tear down the venue, assist artists with set ups and breaks, staff the command center booth, help with the kid's art and the high school art exhibit, staff barricades to direct folks, general grounds maintenance and other special events. 04/24/2010 Earth Day Festival at Alta Vista Gardens Need your community service hours? We need energetic and organized high school students to help run activities for children. Shifts are from 10am - 1pm, 12:30pm - 3:30pm, or both. We will have games, relays, crafts, art lessons, planting, worms, environmental learning stations - all the good stuff! Email to volunteer. 06/10/2010 Knitting/Crocheting Mrs. Jorstad's advisory class needs donations of yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks. You can donate items or teach someone how to knit or crochet for community service. This is taking place all year jorstadcy@guajome.net
06/11/2010 Ivey Ranch Park Association Horses for Heroes is a program for America's wounded service personnel and veterans. With volunteers leading and walking beside horses, riders strive to physically improve, become emotionally empowered and socially enhance their lives. This is an on-going program.
