This month Guajome Park Academy proudly congratulates senior Stephanie Morden, the Rising Star Award winner in October!

Each month the Vista Chamber of Commerce honors and recognizes outstanding students from our local high schools through the Rising Star program.

The Rising Star Award recognizes students for demonstrating character; integrity, love of learning, involvement in school and community activities and/or the ability to overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education. The core of the Rising Star of the Month is the student who makes a difference in their home, school & community with sincerity and passion.

Samantha exemplifies the type of perseverance and dedication we hope all students develop before leaving Guajome.  Her accomplishments in the face of incredible adversity are inspiring.  While she may not see herself in the same incredible light those around her do, it is clear to us all what she is capable of how impressive she has been for years.  She deserves all the success she has worked so hard for, and more.   - Mr. Slack, Math Teacher
