Superintendent - Kevin Humphrey

Kevin Humphrey, Superintendent

Kevin Humphrey beginning his 16th year in the field of education and this is his second year as Superintendent of Guajome Schools. Before that, he spent eleven years in the classroom as a history and government teacher, and has spent the last four years as the Administrator of School Culture and Climate. Kevin looks forward to his new role as Superintendent and is excited about the opportunity to work with all of Guajome's stakeholders when it comes to creating the best possible learning environment for all of our students.

Administrator of Curriculum & Learning Support - Judd Thompson

Judd Thompson, Administrator

Judd Thompson began at Guajome Park Academy in 2005-06 as a history teacher, and served a variety of roles as House Leader, Subject Area Leader, and as a staff representative on the Board of Directors. After four years in Montana, he returned to Guajome in 2014 to teach history and serve as IB Coordinator. In 2016, Judd transitioned to Administrator of Curriculum and Learning Support. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Carroll College, as well as a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana, and is completing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana.

Site Administrator of Guajome Park Primary Academy - Lindsay Arias

Lindsay Arias, Administrator

Lindsay Arias graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2005 with a degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Psychology. She then earned her multiple subject teaching credential and Masters Degree in Education the following year. Mrs. Arias began her career at Guajome Park Academy during the 2007-2008 school year as a 6th-grade teacher in a self-contained classroom. After teaching for 5 years, Guajome Park Academy wanted to add a K-5 program to its existing 6-12 program. Mrs. Arias’ true passion was (and still is) for the elementary grades, so she went back to school and attended Cal State San Marcos to acquire her administrative credential to help assist her in building a quality K-5 program. In the 2012-2013 school year, Guajome Park Primary opened its doors for the first time. 

Mrs. Arias is dedicated to the notion that all students should have a high-quality education and a safe and caring space to create relationships and learn life skills. She enjoys working with staff to grow as a team to facilitate environments for students to develop into lifelong learners. 

Administrator of Guajome Learning Centers - Jocelyn Baldwin

Jocelyn Baldwin, Administrator

Jocelyn Baldwin began her career in education 16 years ago in an Independent Study Charter School teaching English and Biology. As a school leader for the past twelve years in Sacramento, she has been involved in many aspects of the charter school movement and advocacy.  Although you may see her working away on spreadsheets or reports, she enjoys her time with the students most of all. Always an advocate of school choice, she is dedicated to the notion that all students should have access to an excellent education with caring teachers that address their needs and learning modalities. She earned her Bachelors of Arts at Saint Mary’s College of California and Masters of Arts in Education at Pepperdine University.

Administrator of Intervention and student support - Danielle Hernandez

Danielle Hernandez

Danielle Hernandez graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Wanting to work closely with students and families, Danielle received her Master of Arts in Education and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University.  Throughout her career, Danielle has held many positions and responsibilities including Intensive Behavior Intervention Aide, Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist, Elementary School Counselor, Lead Middle School Counselor, and Operations Manager for Vista Unified Crisis Response Team. Danielle specializes in Restorative Practices and Trauma Informed Care. Wanting to progress into Educational Leadership, she received her Administrative Service Credential through the San Diego County Office of Education. Danielle is looking forward to establishing positive relationships and partnerships with the students, families, and staff of Guajome Schools.

Director of Business Services - Kellen Slack

Kellen Slack, Administrator

Kellen Slack began working with Guajome Schools as a teacher in the Math Department during the 2007-08 school year. During his time teaching at Guajome, Mr. Slack was also an 8th Grade House Leader and Middle School Math Department Leader for several years. Mr. Slack then transitioned from the classroom to the role of Director of Business Services in the Summer of 2014, overseeing and managing the business operations of both charters for four years.  After two years serving as the Administrator of Student Intervention and Support, he has returned to the role of Director of Business Services.  He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UC San Diego and his Administrative Services Credential from CSU San Marcos.
