Before & After Care at Guajome
The Guajome Extended School Services (GESS) program provides before- and after-school care for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
GESS supports the mission of Guajome Park Academy by offering students a safe, enriching, and engaging environment beyond the regular school day. Through a variety of academic support, recreational activities, and enrichment opportunities, students are encouraged to learn, grow, and build positive connections with their peers and staff.
Our program serves both qualifying families who receive services at no cost and families who participate through a parent-paid option.
Core Components
Academic Enrichment
Includes 30 minutes of homework assistance plus 20 minutes of literacy instruction daily.
Health & Wellness
Includes 30–45 minutes of outdoor, cooperative play that provides moderate to vigorous physical activity. This supports brain health, bone and muscle development, daily functioning, teamwork, problem-solving, and social–emotional learning.
Community Partners
GESS collaborates with community partners to support program quality and student opportunities.
