The IB enables students to direct their own learning pathway and develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive and make a lasting difference.

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is a recognized leader in the field of international education, encouraging students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals, and engaged world citizens.  Guajome Park Academy has been an approved IB World School since 1995. GPA is also an authorized International Baccalaureate Career-related  Programme (IBCP) school. At the start of the 2018-19 school year there were only 5 IBCP schools in the state of California and we are excited to offer these pathways for our students.

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a future-ready programme that builds students’ inquiring mindset, fosters their desire to learn, and prepares them to excel at their careers and lead meaningful lives. The IBDP is the most rigorous course of study available for junior and senior students at Guajome. Students who embrace this challenging programme live up to international standards of academic excellence. 

Guajome offers the IB Career-related (IBCP) pathway, a unique programme for students in their final school years. It equips them with future-ready skills and prepares them to follow their career pathways—combining academic subjects with their own professional interests. Guajome partnerships with Moonlight Theater and Palomar College offer a medical, theater and cyber security pathway.

In all grades K-12, Guajome adopts the principles of the IB learner profile on and off campus. The IB learner profile describes a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond academic success. 

The attributes of the IB learner profile are woven into the academics and school culture at Guajome. Students learn and practice these attributes through classroom experiences and interactions with their teachers and peers in all grade levels.
