Welcome from Superintendent

Welcome to Guajome Schools!

Guajome Schools is an organization that serves over 1,400 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. It is compromised of the Guajome Park Primary Academy (grades K-5), Guajome Park Academy (grades 6-12), and our Guajome Learning Centers which is a K-12 independent study program.

Our school has been serving Vista and the surrounding communities for over 25 years. This makes Guajome one of the longest-running charter schools in the state of California. Our goal throughout these 25 years has been to provide choices and options based upon strong instructional practice that focuses on meeting the individual needs of all of our students. We are an organization that focuses on the backward design model which states that "in everything we do, we should always begin with the end in mind." The "end" for Guajome is our school's mission:

Through innovation and excellence, our mission is to inspire and empower all learners to become responsible, critically thinking, compassionate global citizens who approach the future with curiosity, courage and resolve.

Every program implemented by Guajome School's faculty and staff works to help students develop in a way that embodies our organization's mission. Whether it is in the classroom, on the stage, or on the athletic field, our goal is for our students to be prepared with skills for success in a rapidly changing world.

If you are looking for a school that is focused on building and supporting its close-knit community of learners, while at the same time offering a wide variety of educational choices and pathways, then Guajome Schools may be the right educational opportunity for you or your family. I encourage you to reach out to our team to learn more about what we have to offer and we look forward to answering any questions that you have about our program.

Thank you for your time!
